The CTSI Childcare Assistance Program provides assistance with childcare expenses for Tribal children with families who are working, attending school or, in special cases, for respite care. The goals of the program are to promote self sufficiency for families by making childcare more affordable for low-income families, and to foster healthy child development and school success by improving the quality of childcare services available to Tribal children. To qualify for assistance, children must be enrolled Tribal members, under the age of 13 years, and reside in the 11-county service area. Assistance is based upon the income level of the family and is on a sliding scale.
